Casual

Casually cool

When we hear the word casual, the first thing that comes to mind is probably comfortability; - sandals, shorts and a t-shirt. We aren't saying there's anything wrong with that combo; we are just saying that it's a combo that's outdated. It looks the same, and you'll simply fade into the background to be forgotten about. That's not Bogart Men. No, no. They lead the pack; that's why you can spot a Bogart Man from a mile away. There's just a different swagger to them. And why wouldn't you have all the confidence in the world when you are wearing one of the best men's clothing brands in South Africa? It’s simple. When you wear Bogart, you look good, and when you look great, you feel even better.

If you want to feel extremely good, we suggest investing in a pair of premium Aviation jeans. The natural fade, ripped accents and the detailed Bogart designer aviation graphics give it a timeless style. Wearing one tells the world you are a man who's going places, and Bogart will be here to dress you for the greatness that awaits. Wear your premium aviation jeans with a T-shirt and a pair of sneakers on a casual outing. Or wear it with a couple of loafers and a button-down dress shirt for a look that speaks for itself. Just don't forget to add a matching belt.

The next casual jean we suggest having a look at is this premium denim 91. The 91 represents our roots, and the jeans our creative side. This pair of jeans offers you the best of both worlds. A trendsetter on the streets and a real example of sophistication. It too features ripped accents on the upper thighs and graphic Bogart badges for added flair. Best of all, the natural fade will only get better over time, just like fine wine. Pair yours with a matching denim jacket for a look that shows the world that you are a force to be reckoned with. Kick things up a notch and add a pair of boots to your basket. Trust us. You'll thank us later.

Next up on our list is a jean that’s perfect for those hot summer months. You can never go wrong with a pair of premium Bermuda jean shorts. The funky design and custom embellishments make these a cut above the rest. The comfortable cotton denim fabric guarantees its durability and utmost quality. Pair yours with a graphic print t-shirt and a pair of sandals for your casual outings with friends or family. Add a Humphrey straw hat or a denim fedora to kick things up a notch.

Something for the office

Traditionally men who worked labour jobs such as mining or construction wore jeans due to their durability. Although, in the modern age, a lot of things has changed. These days you can wear a jean to the office without anyone batting an eye. However, do it wrong, and you'll look underdressed. If you still need to uphold your professional stature, looking good in jeans is crucial. When styled well, a premium jean can present you as a fashion-forward and natural trailblazer. If you want to make a statement, we suggest investing in a jean such as the redlining denim. The red trim along the seam adds a creative yet sophisticated element to your outfit. And the slim designer cut ensures it sits comfortably. Complete your look by adding a formal button-down shirt and a pair of dress shoes to match. Your colleagues won't know what hit them when you walk into the office.

Another jean that makes a perfect companion to the office is this premium black check denim. Ideal for casual Fridays at the office or for when you are meeting clients for a business lunch. The cotton denim fabric elevates this pair of jeans to premium status. The subtle light fade provides an exclusive finish. When combined with a formal shirt and a couple of dress shoes, this jean makes ordinary office attire seem like an understatement. Grab yours today and step into a league of your own.

Last but not least, the classic dark navy Bogart gentleman’s jeans make the perfect pair when you are dressing up for the office. Now you can look as good in the boardroom as you do when you are out and about. The craftsmanship can be felt in the level of comfort this jean gives you when wearing it. The fit and sleek finish make them perfect for a day in the boardroom or when you are having a business lunch. Pair it with a formal shirt and possibly a waistcoat for a look that showcases your determination towards looking exceptional – Always!

Bogart Guide

Jean care guide

A well-worn jean is entirely unique to you, shaped to fit your body perfectly. To get the most out of your denim, specific methods must be followed to prolong your favourite jean’s life. Taking care of your jean will reward you with uniquely aged fades and years of durability. We spoke to Chester, head designer at Bogart Man, to get some tips from a professional. This is what he had to say:

How often should you wash your jeans?

Denim is a rigid material, but warm water and strong detergents can change its colour and shape. Levi's CEO believes you should never wash your jeans, although a good rule of thumb is to wash them anywhere between 3-10 wears or when they start to smell.

What’s the correct way to wash your jeans?

To get years out of your jean, the best method is to hand wash them in cold water. And turn them inside out when you wash them.  If you want to wash them in a washing machine, try a delicate cycle and wash them with cold water. It's okay to machine wash them, but it's not ideal.

How should you dry your jeans?

The best is to hang them, and air dry them on a washing line. Never tumble dry your pair of jeans with heat, it can shrink, and you will regret it.

What’s the best way to store them?

That's entirely up to you, but I think hanging them neatly over a hanger keeps the creases intact. Denim is a strong material, so I don't believe storage will play much of a role.

Benefits of handwashing your jeans

We live in a world that caters for convenience, and a washing machine might seem like the most comfortable option. Although, washing your jeans as suggested above (every 3-10 wears) and doing it by hand will undoubtedly extend the life of your favourite jean. Or instead, opt to spot clean your jean. When you notice a dirty spot, clean it off with a bit of vinegar. This way, you prevent having to submerge your jean in water, risking their unique character.

We hope the jean style and care tips have made it easier for you. And remember, if you have a slim body shape, opt to go for slim or regular cuts. If you have a muscular body shape, opt to buy regular or relaxed cuts. Lastly, if you have a large waist, a relaxed or loose amount will be your friend. Jeans are super versatile. That's why we love them. Grab your favourite Bogart jean online and expand your collection. Check out our just-arrived page to see what's on the menu.
